IN THE EYE OF THE STORM

IN THE EYE OF THE STORM

Dorian is upon us.  She leaves devastation, pain and heartache in her wake.  The total damage will not be known for many months.  And the negative emotional impact is immeasurable.

Hurricanes do not target; they simply form due to weather occurrences, then they unleash.  They have no specific target in mind; hurricanes aren’t equipped, of course, to ‘think’ about anything:  when, where, who.  Hurricanes, in fact, seek to dissipate…to resolve – it’s their natural cycle.

Many of our friends and loved ones have been hurt by Dorian.  And sadly, it is likely there will be other named storms this hurricane season; they too will hurt and destroy.  Again, a natural occurrence.  A natural cycle.  We will always have hurricanes.

What about man-made ‘storms’?  What about the devastation, pain and heartache caused by those who do, in fact, target – using cyber attacks, or other security encroachment methods to destroy?  These ‘cyber storms’ too cause devastation and emotional impact – large swaths of people, or sometimes…just one individual.

Many of our friends and loved ones will also be impacted by these man-made storms – perhaps they already have been.  Perhaps you have been through this cyber devastation.

While we can’t stop Mother Nature from forming hurricanes, we can PREPARE for such occurrences, thus reducing the impact (at least, we can be better prepared for the clean-up).

What about cyber and security attacks?  What can we do to better prepare?

What can YOU do to reduce the damage from the ‘storm’ known as: cyber attacks?

The EYE of the storm is always the calmest, but it signals the worst to come: the ‘backside’ of the storm… the ‘dirty side’ of the storm; and of course, the aftermath.

If you find yourself in the EYE of the CYBER STORM, be alert.

More importantly, in advance of unpredictable cyber storms…BE PREPARED !!!
