Peaches?  Check. Midnight Train?  Check. CYBERSECURITY MECCA?  Check.

Technology and cybersecurity are taking center stage in this fast-growing, innovation-driven market.  According to statements from the economic development office, “The state is equipped to help tackle the most critical cybersecurity issues the world will face today, tomorrow and for years to come.”

Wait.  When did HOT-tlanta become a hotbed of cybersecurity innovation and readiness?  Well…the build-out has been underway for several years.  Business Facilities magazine recognized the State of Georgia in last year’s June publication as, among the top 10 states for both cybersecurity jobs and workforce training.

One of the key components to this designation:  the home of Army Cyber Command and the new Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center in Augusta, as well as a $100-million complex in downtown Augusta.  Wow.

Meanwhile…in Atlanta:  Georgia Tech – which is ranked #2 in the Country for cybersecurity programs - is leading discovery and deployment of cyber technology tools and programs from, Georgia Tech’s Institute for Information Security & Privacy which boasts 13 labs and centers dedicated to cybersecurity.

‘HOT’ indeed.
