Educational Security Operations Center
ESOCs provide relevant, integrated, Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) cyber range environment for demonstration, training, exercising, tool development and testing full-spectrum cyberspace capabilities.

Program Design and Partnerships

The Educational Security Operations Center (ESOC) is designed as a new model for the development of women and minority cybersecurity professionals for Private and Public industry partners that seek to provide innovative, effective, and timely solutions to cybersecurity staffing demands globally. It more than just a security operation center, it is an ecosystem, where companies can be serviced, students can learn, professors can teach, and cybersecurity careers may be conceived.

ESOC participates receive on-the-job training:

  • Monitor, Analyze, Correlate & Escalate Intrusion Events
  • Develop Appropriate Responses: Protect, Detect, Respond
  • Conduct Incident Management and Forensic Investigation
  • Maintain Security Community Relationships
  • Assist in Crisis Operations

What Makes ICMCP ESOCs Different?

  1. Participants and hiring managers equally benefit from learning paths and experiences that are (by design) aligned to the cybersecurity operations methodologies and practices of the local, sponsoring partner.  This is a real-world experience!!
  2. Hands-on, real-work work shifts confirm to the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (CAE-Cyber Operations) Standards
  3. ESOC job roles and responsibilities are mapped to the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (NICE Framework).

To achieve the promise of ESOCs, ICMCP has coordinated partnerships across businesses, academia, and the public sector to unleash our collective potential to innovate and create!  With strong leadership and committed partners, it is our opinion that ESOC can become the new model to meet industry demand and create a skills pipeline that will drive and secure our future!
